Kazuhide Takeuchi

Kazuhide Takeuchi was born and raised in Aichi, Japan. He attended Indiana University Bloomington, where he earned his M.A. in Japanese Language Pedagogy. Before joining UTK in 2024, he taught Japanese language classes at various universities including UC Davis, Indiana University Bloomington, and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. His commitment to facilitating cross-cultural communication extends beyond the classroom. By organizing Japanese conversation tables, Japanese speech contests, and the Japan Bowl, he provided vital opportunities for students to utilize their language skills in various settings. Kazuhide’s research interests include Second Language Acquisition (particularly pronunciation), technology in the classroom, and corrective feedback.

Outside of the classroom, he enjoys cooking, running, and drawing with his son.
