Steven Burton
Steven is a second year Master’s student in the Spanish graduate program with a concentration in linguistics. He is interested in bridging the gaps between linguistics and literature through translation work. Currently he is working on launching Peruvian author Miguel Ángel Vallejo’s work in English with a translation of his science fiction anthology “Monstruos de ayer, hoy y uno de mañana.”
Research interests: Translation Theory, Pragmatic Failure in Translation, Machine Translation and its Successes/Failures, Interpreter and Translator Preparedness, Historical Linguistics, SLA
