Asian Studies Major with a Concentration in Japanese
Asian Studies majors require 30 hours of course work focusing on one of four geographical-cultural areas: China, Islamic World, Japan or South and Southeast Asia. The requirements include one year of language courses at the intermediate level (corequisite), 6 hours of Arts and Humanities courses in the selected geographical-cultural area, 6 hours of Social Sciences courses in the selected geographical-cultural area, 6 hours of course in other geographical-cultural areas, and 12 remaining hours in any Asian Studies 300-level or above courses.
