Course Offerings
The UT Arabic program offers Arabic language instruction at the Beginning (ARAB 121/122), Intermediate (ARAB 221/222), and Advanced (ARAB 331/332) levels. In addition, we offer courses in English that focus on the cultures and societies in the Arabic speaking world:
- ARAB 200 – Everything You Wanted to Know About the Arab World
- ARAB 215 – Human Rights in the Middle East
- ARAB 251 – Whole New Worlds: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Dsytopia in the Middle East
- ARAB 320 – Middle Eastern Film
- ARAB 321 – The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict in Literature, Film, and Popular Culture
- ARAB 351- Languages of the Middle East and North Africa
Most of these courses count toward the Arab Studies Minor and the Language and World Business/Arabic Concentration, and many also fulfill various Volunteer Core requirements.
