Jordan Violet
Jordan is an M.A. candidate in French and Francophone Studies and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Her research centers on French naturalist literature of the late nineteenth century, with a particular focus on the works of Guy de Maupassant and Émile Zola.
Under the direction of Dr. Brittany Murray, she is currently undertaking an independent study that intends to explore the Maupassantian tragedy, or the construction and conveyance of tragedy unique to the literary work of Guy de Maupassant.
