Assessment Services

The LRC is responsible for the administration of the WLC Placement Exam, which occurs remotely. The Language Assessment Center (LAC) in AMB G007 also provides comprehensive digital assessment services for many WLC courses, and also administers the Arabic, Hebrew, and Korean Placement Exams, the WLC Confirmation Exam, and the Foreign Language Achievement Testing Service exams. We also partner with the Graduate College to administer the Oral Proficiency Interview – Computer (OPIc) Exam of English to international Graduate Teaching Associates. If you need to take a test in the LAC, please click on one of the links below to reserve a time:

Confirmation Exam

Students who need interpreters, transcribers, or materials in alternate formats must contact Disability Services at (865) 974-6087 V/TDD two weeks in advance. Disability Services requires documentation in order to verify the disability and the need for the accommodation(s).

If you need anything while in the LAC, locate the proctor in AMB 3A, who will be more than happy to assist you. If they are occupied or you are unable to locate them, you can find Shaun or Doug, who will be equally eager to answer your questions.

If you have additional questions about the Confirmation exam, fill out a ticket with the LRC Helpdesk.

LRC Hours
