German Placement Exam Instructions

NOTE: Please take your exam seriously—you will only be allowed to take it once!

The German Placement Exam has two parts; please follow these steps in order. You will not receive a prerequisite override if either part is incomplete.

Part One

Please read through this entire page before clicking the Exam button.

First, take the WebCAPE German Test.
Completely fill out the the pre-test survey and then click “Begin Test”.
At the end of the exam, you will receive your score. Please take note of the score, as you will need it to complete the second portion of the exam.

If you have hardware difficulties or have any questions about how to take the Placement Exam, contact the LRC Helpdesk.

Next, take the German Oral and Written Assessment. Select the level that corresponds to your score on the WebCAPE Test. Please read through this entire page before clicking any links.

If you have additional questions about the exams, fill out a ticket with the LRC Helpdesk.

After Hours for WLC Faculty

AMB 4, 10, 12, 14, 15, and 17 are available to WLC faculty and instructors after hours with their VolCard. Approved WLC instructors with AMB offices enjoy 24-hour access to these production facilities. Email us to request access.
